“Sometimes, the simplest things become the most embarrassing memories.” 😳
It was my first time going out to buy a bra and panties; before that, my mom or older sister used to get them for me. When I arrived at the shop—which was right next to my college and sold only women’s undergarments—there was a young man behind the counter. He asked what I needed, and I quietly said, “A bra and panties.”
Then he asked for the size; the words wouldn’t come out easily, but I shyly said, “32.”
When he asked for the cup size, I said, “I don’t know.”
Then…
He asked if the panty size should be the same as the bra size or if he should give me a slightly larger pair; I said, “The same.”
Then he asked about the color. I said, “Any color”—even though I had thought of specific colors before entering, I forgot everything the moment I saw the shopkeeper.
He started showing me all sorts of fancy, designer, and net-style sets. The way he was displaying them made me feel incredibly embarrassed—saying things like, “Madam, take this one,” “Take that one,” “This will look beautiful on you,” or “This is selling really well; many girls from your college have bought it.” I was so mortified that I could barely speak or even breathe. I bought two sets using hand gestures and fled the shop as if a bomb had just dropped. All that day, I kept wondering how other girls or my sister managed to buy bras and panties.
